About the Role - The Service Center Director strategizes and develops long-term plans that usher in new levels of productivity and success at BEC. The Service Center Director is responsible for the growth and profitability of the Fort Wayne, IN and North Canton, OH service centers.
Responsibilities -
- Manages overall branch operations to ensure safety, productivity, excellent customer service and profitability
- Collaborates with the Director of Sales and Equipment Consultants to ensure alignment between sales and service center growth goals
- Identifies and measures customer satisfaction by engaging with the sales team in rectifying customer issues related to operations and/or the service department
- Collaborates with ownership in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans
- Responsibility and review of reports to include profit and loss statements, monthly operating reviews, yearly budgets and other reports detailing operational status
- Leads team with integrity to establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment
- Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, DOT, etc. Right-to-Know etc.
- Evaluates and assist in management of fleet and inventory to ensure customer demands are met
- Develops, implements and directs employee assessment program for service center
- Devises strategies and work with project management to implement process improvements to maximize outputs and minimize costs
- Builds and maintains relationships with all departments, external partners and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activities and strategic goals
- Plans, monitors, and analyzes key metrics for the day-to-day performance of the operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks
Qualifications -
- Bachelor's degree in business preferred or four to ten years related experience
- Previous sales and management experience

- Knowledgeable of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, production and employee engagement
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Sound problem-solving skills
- Must possess intermediate computer skills
- Excellent communication, sales and customer service skills
- Ability to positively lead a team while fostering and maintaining a cohesive team environment
